Eligibility
- Who can apply: Bangladesh is a designated GKS country in the official 2027 guidelines — the Embassy Track quota table allocates Bangladesh 3 places (2 General + 1 R-GKS). The applicant and both parents must hold non-Korean citizenship.
- Minimum qualification: High-school graduation (or expected by 31 December 2026); CGPA of at least 80/100, top 20% of class, or 2.64/4.0 (see guidelines for other scales)
- No English test is required to apply. Study begins with a 1-year Korean language programme; TOPIK 5–6 holders are exempt. TOPIK/English score reports are optional bonus documents.
- Under 25 years of age — born on or after 1 March 2002 (2027 guidelines)
- The applicant and both parents must hold citizenship other than Korean; holding Korean dual citizenship disqualifies
- Bangladesh Embassy Track quota for 2027: 3 scholars (2 General + 1 R-GKS)
- An Associate-degree track (2–3 year programmes) also runs under the University Track; 'Associate' is not a NextGrant study level, so this record is filed under Bachelor — associate applicants should consult the same guidelines
- Holders of a previous Korean-government degree scholarship are not eligible
- English / IELTS
- No IELTS required
- No IELTS or English score is required in the official 2027 GKS-U guidelines; English test reports may be submitted as optional bonus documents. Alternatives: TOPIK (Korean) — optional; levels 5–6 exempt the holder from the language programme and earn proficiency grants.
- Application fee

The 2027 undergraduate Embassy Track (online via Study in Korea) ran 15–30 September 2026 and is closed. The University Track (UIC / Associate degree) follows each university's own schedule, September–November 2026 — check the university announcement. The 2027 graduate (GKS-G) call has NOT been officially announced; it is tracked separately in NextGrant's review queue, and aggregator-reported February 2027 dates are not published here.

Evidence: Official 2027 GKS-U Application Guidelines (NIIED, served from studyinkorea.go.kr), read in full on 2026-10-21: Embassy Track quota table lists 'Bangladesh — G 2, R 1, Total 3'; application method — 'Online application through the Study in Korea website … Application Period: September 15, 2026 (Tue.), 11:00 – September 30, 2026 (Wed.), 18:00' (all times KST); benefits table — tuition 'up to 5 million KRW per semester', Korean language programme '5.2 million KRW per year', monthly allowance '13,560,000 KRW per year' (language) and '14,400,000 KRW per year' (degree), 'Economy class flight ticket'; eligibility — 'Must be under 25 years of age (born on or after March 1, 2002)'; grades — '80 or above on a 100-point scale' or '2.64/4.0'.
Verified 2026-10-21 against the official guidelines PDF on studyinkorea.go.kr. Scope is the UNDERGRADUATE call only: the 2027 graduate (GKS-G) guidelines are not yet published, and a Tier-3 report of a 12–25 February 2027 Bangladesh graduate window is deliberately NOT used (the graduate call remains in the review queue). The stored deadline is the Embassy Track close; University Track deadlines are per-university (September–November 2026).
